S. Korean Chief Executive's Remarks Inciting Confrontation under Fire

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The south Korean chief executive called to Chongwadae the heads of puppet military who took part in the meeting of major commanding officers of the army and there he reeled off such rubbish as "attainment of unchallenged power", "definite deterrence" and "powerful army", while saying that the "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK have become serious and realistic. He also urged his confidants to put into practice the new measure for missile development pursuant to the revised missile guidelines with the U.S., step up the acquisition and development of ultra-modern military hardware and thus build earlier the "three-axis strike system". A commentary of Rodong Sinmun Wednesday denounces his rhetoric as an agitation of extreme hostility toward the fellow countrymen and an act of hurling the puppet warmongers into military confrontation with the DPRK. Recently the south Korean chief executive described the measures for self-defence taken by the DPRK to cope with the nuclear threat and blackmail from the U.S. as "threat" only to reveal the dirty habit of challenging whatever his fellow countrymen in the north do while finding fault with them for no justifiable reason, the paper says, and goes on: No matter how desperately the puppet warmongers may try while talking about "unchallenged power" and "definite deterrence", they can never change their deplorable fate as war servants of the U.S. but will further plunge into quagmire. They have to clearly understand this. Minju Joson in a commentary Wednesday jeers at the south Korean chief executive who parrots anti-DPRK confrontation rhetoric while pinning hope on thick-headed man like Trump. |
