Jang Chun Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, made an address.

She said that President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il built a self-reliant and modern defense industry, overcoming unprecedented trials in the van and provided a powerful military guarantee for the country's sovereignty and prosperity of the nation.

She referred to the fact that Kim Jong Suk worked heart and soul for bolstering the revolutionary armed forces and founding the defense industry and thus performed the exploits to be recorded long in the history of building the Juche-oriented army.

She said that the DPRK greets a heyday of bolstering its military power as it holds in high esteem respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who is giving a steady continuity to the exploits performed by the peerlessly great men in building the Juche-oriented army.

She called upon all officials and members of the union to fulfill their duty in the campaign for winning the final victory in the showdown with the imperialists and the U.S. true to the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

A certificate of presentation was handed to an official of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces.
