U.S. Hostile Policy toward DPRK Flayed in Ecuador
Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- The Ecuadorian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the Ecuadorian Cultural Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Guaranda Association for Friendship, Culture and Solidarity with the Korean People of Ecuador and the Canar Provincial Institute for the Friendship and Solidarity with the DPRK of Ecuador on Dec. 7 made public a joint statement to support the just cause of the Korean people and denounce the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The statement said:

The U.S. re-listed the DPRK as a "state sponsor of terrorism" in a bid to bring down Korean style socialism.

Without dropping its ambition for aggression the DPRK, the U.S. is pursuing anti-DPRK propaganda and moves to stifle it. In particular, it has driven the situation on the Korean peninsula into the worst phase by getting hell-bent on the joint military exercises of aggression with the south Korean puppet forces.

We flatly blast the U.S. criminal hostile policy towards the DPRK and strongly demand that the U.S. take hands off the Korean peninsula.

The U.S. must lift the barbarous sanctions against the Korean people and cancel the re-designation of the DPRK as a "state sponsor of terrorism". It also should accept the proposal of the DPRK for replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace accord.

The UN should desist from blindly toeing the U.S. line and fulfill its mission as an international body for the sake of Korea's reunification.

We extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their vigorous struggle to protect peace in the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world.
