Kim Bong Gi, a winner of the titles of Labor Hero and People's Designer, was born in Unchon County of South Hwanghae Province and experienced the sorrow of being a member of a stateless nation. He graduated from a university after the country's liberation and has contributed to the development of the country's chemical industry, working as a designer at the Hamhung Chemical Designing Institute for decades.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il saw to it that he was awarded the titles of Labor Hero and People's Designer and doctorate.

Ryu Sun Ryol, a winner of the title of Merited Scientist, was born as a son of an ordinary official of Chongryon and graduated from Kim Chaek University of Technology after coming to the socialist homeland. Since then he has devoted all his wisdom and zeal to the development of the country's IT industry and the education of rising generations for 45 years.

He carved out scores of subjects of study, wrote a number of books, textbooks and reference books, and trained many holders of academic degree and presented valuable research findings.
