Brilliant Life Glorified with Arms
Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- December 24 this year is the centenary of the birth of anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk.

On this occasion, people in the DPRK are recollecting with deep emotion the brilliant life of Kim Jong Suk who had reliably upheld the Songun idea of President Kim Il Sung with arms.

After joining the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA), she was distinguished herself in guerrilla tactical training, political study, etc. and, in particular, had directed big efforts to improving her marksmanship.

There are many stories about her superb marksmanship. Among them are the stories about the battle near Mayihe, China in which she killed an enemy battalion commander at the first fire and about the battle of Naitoushan, China in which she shot to death an enemy officer at the distance of over 400 meters.

Her marksmanship was so marvelous that even her comrades-in-arms used to guess the number of killed enemies by counting empty bullet pockets of her cartridge belt after battles.

During the anti-Japanese armed struggle, she had devotedly safeguarded the KPRA headquarters in different battlefields including Fusong county town, Dashahe gully and Hongqihe.

Even after the liberation of Korea from Japan's colonial rule, she dedicated herself to the building of regular revolutionary armed forces, true to the line of army building set forth by Kim Il Sung.

Indeed, Kim Jong Suk was a great woman revolutionary who made her whole life honorable together with the arms of the revolution.
