The Workers' United Trade Union of the Peruvian National Association for Children's Health in a statement on Dec. 16 paid high tribute to Kim Jong Il, stressing that he defended the destiny of the country and the people from the aggression moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers and had devotedly worked for the building of a prosperous and powerful country till the last moments of his life.

Flavio Pettinari, chief of the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism in Fermo of Italy, in a statement on Dec. 15 noted that Kim Jong Il led the DPRK along the road of victory by pursuing the Songun politics based on the Juche idea.

Under his Songun leadership the DPRK turned into an invincible power capable of repelling any provocation by the U.S. imperialists, the statement said.
