The letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.

It said that the historic speech "Let Us Strengthen Party Cells into Loyal Cells, into Vanguard Ranks for the Implementation of the Party's Policies" made by Kim Jong Un at the Conference is the great programme which indicated the path for putting the Party cell work at present on a fresh stage and strengthening the leadership and militant efficiency of the Party in every way.

The participants in the Conference will make all the Party cells loyal cells and vanguard ranks for the implementation of the Party's policies as intended by the Supreme Leader, the letter said, expressing the will to make all the Party cells the society for rallying comrades fully prepared with the spirit of defending the leader unto death in the era of Kim Jong Un and cells of genuine comrades and comrades-in-arms of the Supreme Leader throwing in their lot with the Party in any storms and tempest.

It stated that they will become citadel stones firmly upholding the bulwark of single-minded unity, the strongest weapon of the Korean revolution, by thoroughly embodying the Juche-oriented outlook on the people.

It said they will become absolute protectors, active agitators and strict implementers of the Party's policies and thus smash all despicable sanctions and pressure of all hues of enemies and become scouts in implementing the Party's policies and the first standard-bearers of self-reliance making a breach for carrying out the five-year strategy for national economic development.

All the Party cell chairpersons will become core elements of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, strong ones who overcome difficulties in the spirit of the blizzards of Mt Paektu and able ones of self-reliance creating things out of nothing, the letter added.

Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, Pak Kwang Ho, Kim Phyong Hae, Thae Jong Su, O Su Yong, An Jong Su, Pak Thae Song, Choe Hwi and Pak Thae Dok, vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, and the participants in the 5th Conference of the Party Cell Chairpersons.
