Kim Jong Il's Demise Anniversary Observed
Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to observe the 6th demise anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

Memorial meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Norway, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark and Finland from Dec. 12 to 17.

On display at their venues were photos showing the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Also there were works of the peerlessly great men and books and photos introducing the achievements made by the army and people of the DPRK in the building of a socialist power.

"Kimjongilia", "Flag of the Workers' Party of Korea" and other Korean films were shown.

Dag Norum, chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway praised Kim Jong Il as the master thinker-theoretician who formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung into Kimilsungism.

Iri Vabr, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, said that Kim Jong Il was an distinguished leader who defended and victoriously led socialism of Korea with rare leadership ability and a peerless patriot and tender-hearted father who devoted his whole life to prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Jon Arni Halldorsson, secretary general of the Iceland-DPRK Friendship and Cultural Society, said Kim Jong Il led the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people to a victory, smashing the imperialists' escalating anti-DPRK moves by dint of Songun.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, praised the Songun leadership exploits of Kim Jong Il.

Messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in the Czech Republic and Denmark.
