President Kim Il Sung framed and promulgated the "Socialist Constitution of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" 45 years ago, which was a historic event of weighty significance in the political life of the Korean people and the socialist cause.

Rodong Sinmun says:

The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK is the most revolutionary political charter in history. It affirms legislatively the great victories and successes achieved by the Korean people in socialist construction under the banner of the immortal Juche idea, and lays down the principles governing the state and social life and the important tasks for defending and accomplishing the socialist cause.

The enactment of the Constitution provided a legal guarantee for reliably defending the state and social system centered on the popular masses, and thus the Korean people could have a powerful legal weapon to fully display the advantage of Juche socialism.

The Korean people are very proud of having the Socialist Constitution as they value socialism, their life and soul, and love it very much.

The state laws such as the Socialist Constitution have creditably played their role as a weapon of defending the Korean-style socialism. This is inseparable from the wise leadership of the Party and the leader.

Minju Joson calls upon all the people to strive for thoroughly applying the Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Constitution in all fabrics of social life and thus further promote the building of a powerful socialist country and firmly defend and glorify the world's best Korean socialist system centered on the popular masses.
