The results of a test of the bird flu virus found in a duck farm in North Jolla Province on Dec. 22 confirmed that it is H5N6 type.

Earlier on Dec. 19 highly pathogenic bird flu virus was found positive in wild bird dung in Chonan City of South Chungchong Province.

There reportedly occurred nine such cases so far this winter.
