Adoption of Law for Investigation into Irregularities Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- The Joint Action for Pressing for Establishment of Office for Investigation into Corruption of Public Officials in south Korea launched a struggle in Seoul on Dec. 18 to call for the adoption of a law for the investigation into corruptions and irregularities committed by the puppet public officials, according to the south Korean online paper Voice of Seoul.

The Joint Action is made up of various organizations including the Bar Association for Democratic Society and the Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society.

The organization waged demonstration outside the "National Assembly", the building of "Liberal Korea Party" and the "government" building and in Kwanghwamun Plaza on December 22.

The demonstrators clarified that more than 80 percent of the population support the establishment of the office.

However, the "National Assembly" in December failed to discuss the relevant bill, they charged.

The LKP wasted away precious time by declining the examination of the bill, they held.

They stressed the need for the NA passage of the bill for the establishment of the office for investigation.
