Rodong Sinmun on Sycophancy and Servility of S. Korean Authorities

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities have flattered outsiders without their own viewpoint only to bring disgrace and damage to themselves and drive themselves into a tight corner, says Rodong Sinmun in an article Sunday. This is illustrated by the fact that Trump lately made public a new "national security strategy" based on "America first", the article says, adding: The south Korean chief executive agreed on the "four-point principles" during his tour of neighboring countries. However, paying no regard to the viewpoint of his stooge, Trump made sure that the report of the strategy includes such words as "pressing ahead with the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula" and "the preparation of the overwhelming muscle". The south Korean chief executive is driven into a piteous plight as his American master's "national security strategy" is contrary to the diplomatic and security policy pursued by south Korea. Trump forced the puppet forces to join in the missile defense system and the establishment of triangular military alliance. Under such situation the south Korean authorities face the dilemma as they promised the neighboring country that they would not do three things. The puppet forces planed to enforce the "new northern policy" and "new southern policy" towards the neighboring nations, crying out for what they called "diversified diplomacy". But those policies are hardly expected to be enforced as they run counter to the "national security strategy" of Trump who betrayed his black-hearted ambition to push forward with the "India-Pacific strategy" on a full scale with the neighboring counties after defining those countries as the biggest competitive states. The south Korean authorities would be well advised to make a proper option between the two fates: the one that they are ruined by sycophancy and servility and the other that they follow the road of independence though belatedly. |
