December Holidays of DPRK Observed in Myanmar

| Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, released a statement on December 23 last year to mark the 26th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA), the 6th anniversary of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of the KPA supreme commandership and the 100th birth anniversary of the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk. The statement said that HE Kim Jong Il bolstered up the national strength of the DPRK and victoriously advanced the cause of anti-imperialist independence by pursuing the unique Songun politics. These are the great feats to be recorded long in the human history, it added. It went on: HE Kim Jong Un's assumption of the KPA supreme commandership was a special event of great significance in providing the Korean people with a firm guarantee for carrying forward to completion the revolutionary cause of the preceding leaders. The statement praised the feats of Kim Jong Suk who devoted her noble life to the liberation of the country and freedom and happiness of the people after setting out on the road of revolution in her early years. |
