Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, said this in a statement on Jan. 3. He went on:

Comrade Kim Jong Un, Supreme Leader of the Korean people, said in his New Year Address that the DPRK has at last come to possess a powerful and reliable war deterrent, which no force and nothing can reverse, by conducting tests of various means of nuclear delivery and super-intense thermonuclear weapon, and that its nuclear forces constitute a powerful deterrent that prevents the United States from starting an adventurous war.

He clarified major tasks and ways for enhancing the independence and Juche character of national economy and improving the people's standard of living.

He offered a blitzkrieg and bold proposal for easing the acute military tension between the north and the south, create a peaceful environment on the Korean peninsula and establish a climate favorable for national reconciliation and reunification. This enjoys warm welcome from the world peace-loving progressive people.

I sincerely congratulate the heroic Korean people on winning a brilliant victory in the standoff with the U.S. imperialists by accomplishing the great, historic cause of perfecting the national nuclear forces.

I hope that the DPRK would achieve bigger successes in the struggle for building a powerful country and improving the people's standard of living this year, too.
