The validity of the external policy idea and stand of the WPK and the DPRK government is clearly proved by the fact that the DPRK has developed the external relations while reliably defending its social system and sovereignty and displaying its dignity in any adversity, says Rodong Sinmun, adding:

Our Party and the DPRK government have steadily developed the good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations with all countries that respect our national sovereignty and are friendly to us, transcending differences in ideology and social system. They have also improved the relations with those countries which had been hostile toward the DPRK in the past but want to develop the relations with the DPRK after repenting of their past wrongdoings.

It is thanks to the independent external policy of the great leaders that our country established diplomatic relations with scores of countries over the past three decades; joined many international and regional bodies; expanded and developed economic and cultural exchanges with many countries including capitalist countries and strengthened the bonds and solidarity with the world progressives advocating independence and justice.

It is the stand of the DPRK government to play the role of the vanguard steering the building of a new world, just and peaceful, and the master of propelling the world revolution.

Minju Joson says that our Republic will as ever develop good-neighborly and friendly relations with all countries that respect its sovereignty and are friendly toward it, and make positive efforts to build a just and peaceful new world.
