Proper Settlement of Sexual Slavery Issue Demanded
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- The "study society on comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army", composed of intellectuals of south Korea and different countries, on Jan. 3 made public a statement in demand of proper settlement of the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

The statement said the south Korea-Japan "agreement" on the sexual slavery issue in December 2015 was one denying the essence of the issue and violating the history of the efforts for the settlement.

Referring to the disclosure of the wrong procedure and contents of the "agreement" on the sexual slavery on Dec. 27 last year, the statement said the humiliating "agreement" with Japan, which denied the essence of the sexual slavery issue and history and attempted to erase the issue forever, cannot be a settlement.

It urged the south Korean authorities to press for legal responsibility of the Japanese government for the sexual slavery and Japan to bear legal responsibility for the issue.
