Prime Minister Abe at a lecture in Tokyo expressed the will to continuously pressurize the DPRK and face up to the grave situation, underscoring the need to reinforce practically necessary defense capability to protect the people.

However, the Japanese people do not fear the "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK but feel the imminent danger coming from the authorities' arms buildup under the pretext of it, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary.

The commentary goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries' arms buildup is aimed to lay a military foundation for a warring state. It is their real intention to draw water to their mill by pulling up others.

The Japanese people should not consider as the tragedy of the past the massacre committed by the U.S. in which Japan became the first country that suffered the nuclear disasters at the end of the Second World War.

They should clearly see the attempt of the U.S. to drive the Japanese people into a nuclear war by zealously backing and prodding the Japanese reactionary ruling quarters.

The authorities of Japan should not recklessly gamble on the destiny of its people under the pretence of "protecting" them. They should be prudent and behave themselves, if they truly want the security of the Japanese people.

If they run amuck depending on the U.S. like a tiger moth, they would not escape a miserable end.
