U.S. Urged to Seek out Way for Coexisting with DPRK: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The chief of the Tokyo Bureau of the Washington Post said that last year was one when the Democratic People's Republic of Korea registered success in the all-out confrontation with the U.S. and the latter's hostile policy towards the former totally failed, adding that 2017 was a very successful year for the DPRK. Many experts on international affairs contended that the DPRK would further cement its position as a nuclear weapons state this year and the U.S. can not but be susceptible of the reality in which the former had access to nuclear weapons. Commenting on the facts, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says that no matter what desperate effort the U.S. may make, it can never save its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK from its total bankruptcy. This being a hard reality, the U.S. fails to draw a lesson, the commentary notes and goes on: Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, let out piffle that as long as the DPRK does not abandon its nuclear program, the U.S. can never regard dialogue with the DPRK as important and it can never acknowledge it as dialogue partner as it is possessed of nuclear weapons, talking about "provocation" at the very outset of the new year. This is little short of revelation of the intention of the U.S. to persist in the showdown with the DPRK like the previous year. The U.S. would be well advised to rack its brain for seeking out a way for coexistence with the DPRK, a nuclear weapons state both in name and reality, instead of precipitating its ruin with its bluffing and reckless and foolish acts, the commentary concludes. |
