Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- Personages of Cyprus and Uganda on Jan. 2 and 3 made public statements in support of the New Year Address delivered by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Adamos Katsantonis, chairman of the Cyprus-DPRK Cultural Friendship Association, said that Kim Jong Un set forth tasks for vigorously advancing socialism in his New Year Address, adding:

Entirely just are the ways for the economic development in the DPRK and global peace and security, indicated by him.

I offer warm wishes to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un devotedly working for the country's prosperity and the global peace.

Daniel Rugarama, chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, said that last year the DPRK achieved gigantic development despite the U.S. unprecedented sanctions and thus gave full play to its prestige before the world eyes.

He went on:

HE Kim Jong Un's New Year Address clearly indicates the orientation and ways for the Korean people's struggle for this year and reflects the future of the strategic state.

The New Year Address overflowing with compatriotic feelings is run through with positive contents for the sake of Korea's reunification.

The U.S. must roll back its hostile policy towards the DPRK in keeping with the wishes of humankind for peace and justice.
