The north and the south should be aware of their responsibility and duty before the times and history and positively create an atmosphere for national reconciliation and reunification.

The atmosphere of national reconciliation and reunification never comes by itself. It is realized through contact, travel, cooperation and exchange.

It is our stand to open the door to anyone from south Korea, including the ruling and opposition parties, organizations and individual personages of all backgrounds, for dialogue, contact and travel, if they sincerely wish for national reconciliation and unity.

The future orientation of the inter-Korean relations depends on the south Korean authorities' efforts for creating the atmosphere of national reconciliation and reunification.

The south Korean authorities should lend an ear to the voices of the people, remove the walls of confrontation and sincerely come out to the road for improved north-south relations and independent reunification, not reading others' faces.

No one can present an honorable appearance in front of the nation if he or she ignores the trend of the times toward national reconciliation and reunification.
