Attending it were Chairman Ho Jong Man and vice-chairmen of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, advisers and department directors of the Chongryon Central Committee, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, chairmen of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto, leading officials of Chongryon organizations and businesses, officials under Chongryon headquarters in Kanto and teachers of Korean schools at all levels.

Read out at the meeting was Kim Jong Un's New Year message to the chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

Making a report, Ho Jong Man said that the Supreme Leader's New Year Address is a treasured sword of sure victory as it advanced the outstanding strategy, tasks and radical proposals for winning in the final showdown with the U.S. when the Juche cause is in its new higher stage, and it is a militant banner encouraging the army and people in the homeland to a revolutionary general offensive.

He stressed the need for Chongryon officials to take the lead in fully displaying the true nature of Chongryon, a dignified overseas citizens organization of the DPRK, and setting up a new milestone on the sacred road for strengthening the movement of Koreans in Japan this year.
