Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. for Interfering in Issue of Inter-Korean Relations
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, recently said that the U.S. will not regard the resumption of the north-south talks as prudent and it will not acknowledge nor allow any dialogue if it will not have any impact on making north Korea abandon nuclear weapons. Senator from the Republican Party Lindsey Graham and other riff-raff said south Korea should refuse dialogue and the U.S. would not participate in the Winter Olympics if north Korea takes part in it.

Ridiculing these remarks as shameless ones, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary:

The inter-Korean relations are the internal issue of the Korean nation and the U.S. is not entitled to meddle in it.

However, the U.S. is raising its head to interfere in the north-south dialogue.

In fact, the U.S. wants a war, not peace on the Korean Peninsula.

It is the trite method employed by the U.S. to seek its own interests by meddling in the internal issue of the Korean nation.

The U.S. is miscalculating. Things will not turn out as the U.S. wishes. Although the U.S. makes desperate efforts to disturb peace while wielding a nuclear stick, it can not provoke us as long as we have the strong nuclear deterrent.

The U.S. would be well advised to stop impudently meddling in other's matters only to avoid a hot agony of shame. It had to mind its own destiny rushing headlong into self-destruction.
