Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Tanzania

Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- A Tanzanian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Dar es Salaam on Jan. 6.

Maina, vice-chairperson of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, was elected chairperson of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and feats of Kim Jong Il in the period from Jan. 6 to Feb. 16.
