Minju Joson on U.S. Deployment of Troops

Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the U.S. moved three B-2 Stealth bombers and about 200 troops from the air force base in Missouri State to the Anderson Air Force Base on Guam. It claims that the deployment of B-2 Stealth bombers on Guam is a "regular rotation deployment" and "short-term deployment". Commenting on the fact, Minju Joson Friday brands such assertion as a childish wordplay to mislead the public opinion at home and abroad. It is no secret that the U.S. has hurled huge naval and air forces in and around the Korean Peninsula from the outset of the year, the paper says, and goes on: What draws attention is that the U.S. moved even the forces from its mainland to the Peninsula and its vicinity. The dense and intensive deployment of the U.S. troops in and around the Peninsula is part of its war gambling for a nuclear preemptive strike at the DPRK as well as military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific by dint of "force". "Peace" on the lip-service of the U.S. is a farce to hide its nature of aggression. Days have gone when the U.S. jeopardizes peace on the Peninsula and security of the region as it pleases, being assured that its mainland is far away from the hottest spot of the world. Explicitly speaking, the destiny of the U.S. which is so arrogant to say about "total destruction" and "extermination" of the sovereign state hinges on the decision of the DPRK, a nuclear power of Juche and world military power. It is stark reality. The U.S. should lend an ear to the voices of the world that the DPRK-U.S. nuclear confrontation would come to a close on the land of the USA, and abandon its wild ambition for invasion of the DPRK. The pipedream will only precipitate its self-destruction. |
