Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Ethiopia

| Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- An Ethiopian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Addis Ababa on Jan. 9 Nigatu Dagnachew, chairman of the Ethiopia-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize diverse political and cultural events praising the exploits of Kim Jong Il for the cause of global independence in the period from Jan. 11 to Feb. 17. |
