Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Bulgaria

| Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- A Bulgarian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Sofia on Jan. 12. Atanas Ivanov, honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set the celebration period from Jan. 26 to Feb. 16 and decided to organize multifarious political and cultural events in Sofia and other local areas. |
