No Statute of Limitations Is Applicable to Crimes against Korea by Japanese Imperialists: Rodong Sinmun
|

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- An article of Rodong Sinmun Monday marks the anniversary of intoxication of Emperor Kojong, representative of the sovereignty of the Korean nation, by the Japanese imperialists. The intoxication of Emperor Kojong on January 22, 1919 was a hideous crime committed by the Japanese imperialists to more thoroughly enforce their colonial rule over Korea, the article notes, and goes on: The fact is stark evidence showing that the Japanese imperialists did stoop to any infamy to realize their colonial rule over Korea. The Japanese imperialists' decades-long colonial rule over Korea was unprecedented hideous crimes aimed at exterminating the Korean nation. History records lots of data about colonial rules enforced by imperialists but there is no such ferocious imperialism as Japanese imperialism as it went wild to trample the history and tradition of a nation that had been inherited century after century and to deprive the nation of even its spoken and written languages. The Japanese imperialists' crimes against humanity can never be written off. State reparations should be made for those hideous crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists in the first half of the last century as they were state-sponsored, organized crimes. No statute of limitations is applicable to the hideous crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean nation. |
