The statement warmly congratulated the Korean people on their brilliant successes registered under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un last year.

It noted that the DPRK smashed the moves of the U.S. imperialists engrossed in sanctions and military threats against other countries in a wild dream to dominate the whole world and bolstered up its military capability for self-defence.

It stressed that in no way would the U.S. dare to ignite a war against the DPRK now.

The DPRK will surely make a breakthrough in reenergizing the overall economic front this year, the third year of implementing the five-year strategy for national economic development, the statement said, adding:

We will invariably support the Korean people in the future, too.

We heartily wish rosy future and prosperity to them.
