S. Korean LKP Coteries' Mischievous Behavior under Fire
|
|
Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- The "Liberal Korea Party" of south Korea has now gone desperate to tarnish the atmosphere of the north-south relations that was created by the initiative measures taken by the DPRK. The representative of the LKP and its floor leader are now zealous in describing the landmark proposals made by the DPRK for the improved north-south relations as "an attempt to incite conflict" between south Korea and the U.S., "one for gaining time for completing the nuclear weapons" and a "half-witted camouflaged peace offensive". As for the north-south high-ranking talks, they are spouting ill-boding words that "the talks only paved the way for the north to unfold its assertions" and "south-north dialogue has to presuppose a solution to the north's nuclear issue". They went the lengths of saying that "there should not be any lobbying with the north" and "the north's intention for provocation hidden behind the sports exchanges should not be overlooked" and "the international cooperation for sanctions on the north may shake due to the north's participation in the Olympics". A commentary of Minju Joson Tuesday brands this as a mischievous act of the LKP group seized by inveterate concept of confrontation with the DPRK. The nation's desire and wish can never come true as long as the conservative forces are allowed to exist, the commentary notes, and goes on: The more frantically the LKP coteries resort to the racket for confrontation with the DPRK, the earlier they will face their miserable end. The whole Korean nation should definitely foil the desperate moves of the LKP aimed to challenge the desire of the nation and the trend of the times and to put a brake in the improvement of the north-south ties. |
