Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Ukraine

| Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Ukraine on Jan. 14. Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to widely introduce the revolutionary careers and exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il through media and organize political and cultural events on the occasion of the anniversaries. |
