Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in DR Congo

| Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee of DR Congo for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of Shining Star) was formed in Kinshasa on January 15. Boswa Isekombe Sylvere, general secretary of the Workers' Party of DR Congo, and Andre Lohekele Kalonda, national president of the Working Citizens' Association of Democratic Congo, were elected co-chairmen of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 15 to Feb. 16 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events such as meeting, seminar and book and photo exhibition in the period. |
