Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), made public a statement on January 27 in support of the appeal of the joint conference of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations which called upon all Koreans to turn out as one in the struggle for glorifying this significant year as a year of great changes and great events to eternally shine in the history of national reunification. It went on: We will hold Marshal Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the great loadstar of national reunification and implement his idea and line for independent reunification with the patriotic enthusiasm and will. We will actively join in the anti-U.S. sacred struggle to put a definite end to the war drills against the DPRK which will bring nuclear disaster to the homeland, and bring about a new era of peace and reunification, holding fast to the banner of national independence, By Our Nation Itself, as the eternal lifeline for the movement for national reunification. The statement expressed the will to make tangible contribution to strengthening the solidarity of the fellow countrymen in the north and the south and abroad and realizing a pan-national gathering for reunification and joint national events this significant year marking the 70th anniversary of the historic Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Social Organizations in North and South Korea. |
