Birth Anniversaries of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il to Be Marked in Syria

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- A Syrian preparatory committee for celebrating the 106th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 76th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il was formed on Jan. 21. Mohammed Shaban Azzooz, member of the Regional Leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist Party of Syria, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 21 to April 16 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of the exploits of the great leaders in the period. |
