Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Uganda

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for marking the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Kampala on Jan. 22. Mayambala Lawrence, chairman of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize political and cultural events to praise and glorify the feats performed by Kim Jong Il for global independence. |
