S. Korean Organizations Struggle against THAAD

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean Yonhap News, organizations of south Korea including the Songju Emergency Measure Committee for Defending Holy Land of Won Buddhism held a press conference outside the North Kyongsang Provincial Office on Jan. 29 to denounce the provincial authorities for keeping THAAD.

Speakers charged that Provincial Governor Kim Kwan Yong expanded and reorganized a development and support group under the pretext of the so-called compensation for the deployment of THAAD on Jan. 15.

They stressed that they only wanted the withdrawal of THAAD, not any compensation and support.

They urged the provincial office to immediately stop the demand for development and support contrary to the will of residents and dissolve the development and support group.
