The year 2018 is a significant year marking the 70th birthday of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the great feat and legacy of immortal President Kim Il Sung, the appeal said, expressing support for the occasions created for improving the inter-Korean relations thanks to the noble love for the nation and the peace-loving will of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the great guardian of peace and justice.

It noted that since its founding, the DPRK has made efforts for its independent development and the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula. It called upon the world peace-loving people to actively join in creating the climate for the improved inter-Korean ties and the independent reunification of Korea.
