A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party and chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and feats of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
