The expedition left Hyesan and arrived in Pochonbo on Feb. 1, where they placed floral baskets and bunches of flowers at the statue of President Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him.

They went round the command post of the Battle of Pochonbo, the police sub-station, the subcounty office, the post office, etc. and held a meeting.

They also looked round the Spring Site in Poso-ri and the monument to the teachings on the Tableland of Junghung, associated with Kim Jong Il's feats.

They reached the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site on Feb. 3.

They looked round the historic data which Kim Jong Il gave instructions to unearth all of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and spruce them up so that the sites may contribute to the education in the revolutionary tradition.

They also visited Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, where they went round the site at which the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk boiled rice and the site of the headquarters, slogan-bearing trees and other relics.

During the study tour they had a meeting to express their impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, a poem-reciting meeting and other colorful political and cultural events.
