Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for marking the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed by the All-Russia Lenin Young Communist League on Jan. 24. Podzorov, first secretary of the league, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 24 to Feb. 17 and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the period. |
