Kim Jong Il's Birth Anniversary to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for marking the 76th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il was formed by the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation on Jan. 24. Its First Secretary Dolgachev was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee set a celebration period from Jan. 25 to Feb. 16 and decided to give wide publicity to the feats of Kim Jong Il through media and hold colorful political and cultural events in the period. |
