Day of Shining Star to Be Marked by Political Parties and Bodies under CPSU

| Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A joint preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed by the political parties and bodies under the Communist Party of Soviet Union on Jan. 24. The preparatory committee with Mozgovoy, first secretary of the C.C., Communist Party of Soviet Union and chairman of International Social Federation "for the Union and Union's Communist Party", as its chairman consists of figures of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, the Communist Workers Party of Russia, the Communist Workers' Party of Belarus, Communist Party of Azerbaijan, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, and other parties and organizations. It decided to hold political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career and feats of Kim Jong Il. |
