Abe Blasted for His Sinister Intention of Participating in Winter Olympics
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Japanese Prime Minister Abe reportedly made up his mind to take part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. Days ago, Abe said that he would meet the south Korean chief executive to clearly convey his opinion that "the principle of maximum pressure on the north" should not be changed in the least and he is opposed to the humanitarian cooperation as it would send a "wrong message to the north". Meanwhile, he asserted that he would not accept the demand of the south Korean authorities for additional steps related to the "agreement" on the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and would strongly demand the removal of the statue of girl sexual slave outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

Abe is mulling attending the Winter Olympics in a bid to chill the warming climate of inter-Korean dialogue and turn the theatre of Olympics into the ground of confrontation between compatriots, not content with forcing the south Korean authorities to tighten sanctions and pressure against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Japan.

Abe's participation in the Winter Olympics is pursuant to the scenario of the U.S. to bind the south Korean authorities to the chains for tightening "sanctions against the north" and tri-angular cooperation by using Japan.

What is more intolerable is the fact that Abe tries to make his participation in the Winter Olympics a good opportunity for forcing the south Korean authorities to implement the "agreement" on the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The Japanese reactionaries should clearly know that their cynical ploy to behave mischievously by interfering in the issue of inter-Korean relations would add to their thrice-cursed crimes committed against the Korean people and touch off bitterer anti-Japanese sentiment.
