U.S. Urged to Make Switchover in Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- Former U.S. high-ranking officials and experts in international issues have recently asserted that it is impossible to make the DPRK dismantle the nukes and so it is necessary to recognize it as a nuclear weapons state, according to the website for political affairs "The Hill", CNBC and other U.S. media.

U.S. financier Soros at a press conference held on the sidelines of an international conference said that the U.S. is causing conflict with the DPRK while seeking a nuclear war against it, adding that the only way out is to recognize the DPRK as a nuclear weapons state and conclude an agreement to prevent war.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a commentary says that those who took the lead in pursuing the policy toward the DPRK doubt the policy and call for its switchover as the DPRK has access to a powerful and reliable war deterrent, which no force and nothing can reverse, by completing its nuclear forces.

The commentary goes on:

It is tragedy that the Trump group persists in the outdated hostile policy towards the DPRK at a time when the result of DPRK-U.S. showdown is made clear.

It shows that the U.S. seeks to find a way out in persisting in the outdated hostile policy toward the DPRK and provoking nuclear war.

But it is not the way out. If the U.S. persists in the hostile policy toward the DPRK, the former will certainly meet the catastrophic end.

The DPRK is the only and one country with tremendous capability, extraordinary readiness and indomitable will to react to any war mode of the U.S.

The U.S. would be well advised to make a policy switchover, though belatedly. It should properly understand the strategic position of the DPRK as befits the world's military power and nuclear power and the trend of the times and make a bold decision to drop the hostile policy toward the DPRK. This is a good prescription for the U.S.
