Present there were Vice-Premier Jon Kwang Ho, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Choe Tong Myong, President of the State Academy of Sciences Jang Chol, Chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee Kim Chang Do, officials and teachers and researchers in the fields concerned and in the fields of scientific researches.

Presented to the symposium were papers which dealt with the biological factors of Kimjongilia, and achievements and experience gained in the scientific researches for the cultivation and dissemination of the flower.

The speakers referred to research data on new compound fertilizer made for the growth of Kimjongilia.

They noted that they developed vegetable agrochemicals which remove various harmful insects that may occur during the cultivation of the flower and which are safe for both human body and plants.

Recounted at the seminar are the research achievements made in the course that the flower was brought into full bloom to be bigger and more beautiful while bringing earlier more than one month the duration of growth after acclimatizing seedlings to outdoor cultivation conditions for the successful holding of the Kimjongilia Festival.
