Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Slovakia

| Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- A Slovak preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Bratislava on Jan. 27. Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association and chairman of the Slovak Association for Supporting and Studying the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 27 to Feb. 20 and decided to hold various political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the period. |
