The route ranging from Yonggwang Street to Chollima Yongung, Pipha, Sungri and University streets was crowded with hundreds of thousands of citizens who turned out to welcome the participants in the military parade.

Those crowds were waiting for the moment when they would welcome the servicepersons with bouquets, flowers and balloons in their hands.

Motorcars carrying the participants in the military parade with cars fixed with the flags bearing the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in the lead left at the road in front of Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

Working citizens and youth and students waved bunches of flowers to hail them.

Foreigners and overseas compatriots also warmly welcomed them.

The columns of mechanized units passed Sungri and University streets amid warm welcome.
