Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed by the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia on Jan. 29. Sazhi Umalatova, chairwoman of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to hold political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on this anniversary. |
