The U.S. Blasted for Checking Improvement of Inter-Korean Relations

Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The People's Action for Peace against War of south Korea, comprising political parties and civic and public organizations for peace against war, at a press conference in Seoul on Feb. 6 slammed the U.S. for chilling the atmosphere for the improvement of the north-south ties, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.

The speakers censured the U.S. for kicking up the racket of confrontation and war whenever the trend for peace is created on the Korean peninsula.

The U.S. has to leave this land in order for peace to settle on the Korean peninsula, they said, stressing that the whole Korean nation would pool efforts to achieve peace.

In a press release the organization slammed the U.S. for disrupting the Winter Olympics and hindering the improvement of the south-north relations.

If the U.S. continues to create the military tensions and stand in the way of the south-north reconciliation and reunification, it would face the nationwide anti-U.S. and anti-war actions, the organization warned.
