Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Italy

| Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- An Italian preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Rome on Jan. 29. Alfonso Galdi, director of the International Department of the Communist Party of Italy, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee fixed a celebration period from Jan. 29 to the end of February and decided to organize colorful political and cultural events such as meeting, seminar, film show and book and photo exhibition in the period. |
