Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Various strata of south Korea have reportedly condemned the U.S., Japan and the south Korean conservative forces for trying to check the trend of improved inter-Korean relations and inflame confrontation and war crisis. The internet paper minplusnews on Feb. 9 editorially urged the U.S. and Japan to stop their acts of stoking confrontation and antagonism and the evil forces inciting division to properly face up to the trend of the times. The Kyongnam Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration made public a statement denouncing the U.S. for chilling the efforts for improved inter-Korean relations. The chairman of the South Kyongsang Provincial Committee of the People's Party in a press conference on Feb. 8 flailed the U.S. vice-president for hindering the improvement of the inter-Korean relations. Jong Se Hyon, former minister of Unification, in a radio show criticized the chief executive of Japan for urging the resumption of south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises. Meanwhile, lawmakers from the ruling Minju Party rejected Japan's intervention. |
